If you’ve updated Instagram for iOS or Android recently, your account’s activity status is now automatically switched on.
What this does is allows accounts you follow and anyone you message to see when you were last online, a little like WhatsApp.
If you don’t want everyone to know the last time you were online and wonder why you haven’t uploaded a photo in the last day, or replied to their latest message, here’s how you turn the feature off.
1. Hit the Cog wheel on your Instagram homepage next to Edit Profile.
2. Scroll down to Show Activity Status
3. Click to turn off (The blue icon will disappear)
You can now head on back to your Instagram feed.

The setup might be slightly different for Android users, but the same principles apply. Share with others who don’t want to share their activity too!
